Re: Voltage Clamp Power Resistor Overheating

I can not see any yellow lights on the Micro Studio, and the clamp seems to be on all of the time. I assumed that the 10k Ohm resistor would ensure the mosfet stays off when there is no voltage spike, but that does not seem to be the case. My mosfet is a FQP30N06. Just to iterate. Instead of a volta...

Voltage Clamp Power Resistor Overheating

Hi Everyone, I have set up a voltage clamp circuit, and it has fixed the voltage spike problem. The voltage used to spike to 23 when operating at 12voltages, but instead has a spikes to 9 voltages which is fine. However my power resistor is overheating alot, just when I turn on the main power, invol...

Voltage Clamp Issue

Hi Everyone, I was wondering if people could help me fix my voltage clamp issue. I currently have a Roboclaw Solo Micro Controller with the S3 mode set to Voltage clamp. My circuit layout is explained below. The S3 is connected to the Gate of the MOSFET, the Source is connected to the ground of the ...

Re: Using Teensy 3.2 or Teensy 3.6 with RoboClaw Arduino Library

The latest version of the Roboclaw arduino library should work with the Teensy Arm processors. You just have to pass a pointer to the serial port you are using to the Roboclaw constructor. I dont beleive Teensy Arm supports software serial so you can only pass hardware serial port object points. Co...

Slave serial RoboClaw motor control

Hi, just wondering if anyone could help me, I am trying to control two motors using 2 RoboClaw Solo 30A Motor Controllers, using simple serial and a slave select. I am using Arduino Uno and have a very simple code which is attached. Also I have attached my layout of my hardware. There is also a scre...
