Re: 24v Input for both Motor & Logic?

Hello and thank you for the reply.

I wrote in my first message that I have 2 of the (2x5a) roboclaws - assuming that your instructions are the same, is there any drawback to running the logic off the 24v as well?

Thank you again for your help,

Nick.

Re: 24v Input for both Motor & Logic?

One more thing... I ran the Read Voltages functions and this is the output that I get:

MAIN Voltages: Min = 0, Max = 336
LOGIC Voltages: Min = 0, Max = 180

Thank you again,

Nick.

24v Input for both Motor & Logic?

Hello, I'm looking to run the RoboClaw (2x5a) at 24v, but when I do so I get the dreaded error light. I think that it has to do with the logic power as I have the jumper set to draw logic power from the main batter source (used to power/drive the motors). With this jumper setting and using 12v, I ha...

Re: Backward / Reverse with SpeedAccelDistanceM1 Function?

After a lot of troubleshooting, I discovered that it was an error in my own code - not the boards!

I can finally set and read the PID values, so thank you for bearing with me and trying to be of help... I should have known that it was my own fault! :)

Thank you again!

Re: Backward / Reverse with SpeedAccelDistanceM1 Function?

I appreciate the reply, but I'm really very disappointed to hear that there's no solution for me to get the SpeedAccelDistanceM1 function to work without having to send the controllers back and wait. I'd like to believe that it's simply a matter of syntax or something, not firmware. If that's the on...

Re: Backward / Reverse with SpeedAccelDistanceM1 Function?

I hope that I'm not being a nuisance, but I could really use some help. I only have a Mac computer, but tried installing the IonMotion App via FusionWare... but I don't even see the port available when connected via USB to the Arduino, so I don't think that will work either. I really just want to be...

Re: Backward / Reverse with SpeedAccelDistanceM1 Function?

Sorry for the rapid posting, but it may help to know that I'm using a very old firmware version: Roboclaw 2x5a v3.1.5 I know it's old, but I don't want to bother upgrading right now. I just want to correctly set the PID values, but the command I'm using is clearly not working. Thank you for your hel...

Re: Backward / Reverse with SpeedAccelDistanceM1 Function?

I've also noted in the forums that the order changed to Kp,Ki,Kd, qpps... I tried that, but no luck there either.

Thanks again,

Nick.

Re: Backward / Reverse with SpeedAccelDistanceM1 Function?

Hi again, I think my problem has to do with properly configuring the PID settings. However, regardless of what values I use for Kd, Kp,Ki, or qpps, the encoders read the exact same values when driving at speed. In fact, if I take out the below statement completely, nothing changes in the motors/robo...

Thanks very much. Let me read your other post and try again.

Again, very much appreciated!
