An error occurs during autotune on IonStudio
An error occurs during autotune on IonStudio
Hello,
I am using RoboClaw 2 × 15A.
I tried autotune of PID coefficient in IonMotionStudio,
If PWM Mode of motor 1 is set to Locked Antiphase, I press Autotune button, motor1 does not stop until power off.
In motor 2, on the contrary, autotune can not be done when Sign Magnitude is set.
Thank you
Hidaka

Re: An error occurs during autotune on IonStudio
1. Before you can autotune a motor you need to make sure hte encoder is moving in the positive direction when the motor is moving forward(eg the PWM slider moved up is forward).
2. I have not tested this in a while but Sign magnitude mode may be reversed relative to Locked Antiphase. So when you change the PWM mode you need to check the encoders relative direction to each motor.
If you wait till later next week we are releasing a version of Motion Studio that will automatically warn the motor direction relative to the encoder direction is wrong and stops the auto tune process.
