Yes, it can. Once you have tuned the PID and position control is working well in Ion Studio, go to General settings. Change the control mode from Packet Serial to Analog. Then check the "Enable Encoder in RC/Analog Mode" for the appropriate motor channel. The analog positions will be mapped to the set min and max position ranges.
