Re: Autotune Velocity Settings
Thank you. Using Basicmicro Motion Studio solved the problem. One quick question regard the autotune function: When I velocity autotune, the QPPS vary in numbers between 375 QPPS and 1500 QPPS. I tested the maximum speed in pwm-mode and it was measured to be around 820 QPPS. The used motor is turnin...

Autotune Velocity Settings
Hello, I am able to set the velocity in IonMotion (PWM Settings) without a problem in both directions. I am also able to read the current (quadrature) encoder value and speed value (around +-840). I then tried to control my motor with the python library using the "SpeedM1(adress, 200)" fun...

Re: RoboClaw 2x15A, Python3, Windows: Unable to read version
Thanks for the fast response.
I completely understand the fact, that I need to work with 0x80 as the address.
Can you tell me the changes I will need to do in the roboclaw.py to get it working with python3? I think that it should be possible with just a few changes, right?

RoboClaw 2x15A, Python3, Windows: Unable to read version
Hello, I have written a program in Python3 in which I want to include a motor control with a RoboClaw2x15A. Currently I am working on Windows10, but maybe I will swap to a Raspberry Pi in the future. The Python Lib for Raspberry Pi is written for Python2, so I got the same _port-error as in the thre...

Autotune for Velocity Control
Hello, do I need to start the Autotune function in IonMotionStudio before I apply the working load to my motor or do I have to do it, while the load is mounted to the motor? Also: When I am using the librarys (for example C++ arduino or Python), does the RoboClaw save the P I D values from the autot...

Re: Motion Studio does not show M1 Encoder value
I just tested the other encoder and it works now. Seems like the first encoder is broken,
I added the pull up resistors the the circuit.
Thank you for the fast help!

Re: Motion Studio does not show M1 Encoder value
Thank you for your reply. I tested one encoder with the pull-up resistors (3.6k Ohm) and didn't get a pulsed signal, measured with an oscilloscope. For testing, i tried to observe the PWM signal from the motor, that worked. I will check the other encoder on tuesday, because it might be, that the enc...

Re: Motion Studio does not show M1 Encoder value
The motor I am using is the E192-2S.12.625 http://www.micromotors.eu/planetary_gear_motor_e192.html with the linked encoder. Unfortunately there are not any more infos regarding the encoder. I played around with the connection between the RoboClaw and the motor encoder and found a weird behaviour: 1...

Re: RoboClaw 2x15A does not have LB-MP pins
What do you mean by "not connected to anything"?Basicmicro Support wrote:What you are seeing is the logic input floating(since it isnt connected to anything) causing the 1.5v reading.
I wired an encoder to the + and - ports. I will check tomorrow if I have the 5V between the + and -.

RoboClaw 2x15A does not have LB-MP pins
Hello, my RoboClaw does not have the LB-MP pins. I want to use the main battery (set to 12V) to power the motors and the logic. Motion Studio shows me: "Main Battery: 12.0" "Logic Battery: 1.5" As far as I know, I need the Logic Battery to be at atleast 6V. Also: the compontens R...
