Re: Commands 65 and 66 seem hobbled.

I tried command 67 many times but it does not work that's the motors do not start.

Also could not upgrade to the 4.1.15 - tried many times but ionmotion seems to have trouble upgrading the firmware. I even tried doing it via the bootloader but no luck either. IONMOTION version i have is 1.6.4

Re: new manual

Well first of all not everyone uses arduino. Second of all I just downloaded that library and there is no mention of these new commands. I don't understand why you just did not specify the commands numbers in your reply or even better since you guys realized that you did not have time to update your...

new manual

When is the new manual that covers versions 4.1.12 and 4.1.13 be released? it's been a while and I don't see it. how are we supposed to know how to use the new commands like Added GETENCODERS(Reads both encoder values in one call if there is no documentation. BTW I asked this question a while ago an...

Re: Mixed Mode commands 10, 11 and 13

An update on my previous post. I think I figured out what you meant by the Sabertooth commands these are commnads 8 - 13? it says to send valid drive and turn commands - the question is then which drive command to send? there are 2 8 & 9 which one you need to send with the turn command. it does ...

Re: Mixed Mode commands 10, 11 and 13

Thanks for the reply. can you please point me to the documentation that describe that? 'This has always been in the documentation" I don't seem to find anything that explains what you're talking about in the old manual version 4.1.4 or the latest I can find 4..1.11 which is behind the current f...

Re: inconsistent encoder status registers reading in mixed mode

Sorry I did not specifically mention that it was the direction bit that had a problem in my original post - I provided the exact status byte values and thought it was obvious from the values which bit was the problem. Yes I am using the checksum in the old firmware and crc16 in the latest one. Also ...

Mixed Mode commands 10, 11 and 13

I just upgraded to the new version 4.1.13, updated my application to account for the new changes like crc16 and tried to run it. Moving forward and in reverse worked but turning left or right does not work. The commands that do not work are 10, 11, and 13 even though I get back the ACK byte but the ...

Re: inconsistent encoder status registers reading in mixed mode

Not sure what other information are you looking for. It's very simple I use command 43 to drive the robclaw some distance with positive speed and while the roboclaw is running I read the encoders registers using commands 16 & 17 what I get back is inconsistent as far as the direction bit in the ...

Re: inconsistent encoder status registers reading in mixed mode

did you read the question? I did not say that they ALWAYS return different values just sometimes this does not indicate that I got the wiring wrong - something is wrong but not the encoder wiring SIR.

inconsistent encoder status registers reading in mixed mode

Hi, I have Roboclaw 2x5a v4.1.10 and I am trying to drive it using mixed mode commands like 8, 9 and 43. When I read the enconder registers (16 and 17) sometimes I get different status values for example 0x80 and 0x82 even though both motors are turning the same way and in other cases the values are...
