Re: AutoTune Position
You can tune unloaded. This will be less accurate than loaded but in your case you have no choice on the X axis. Then you may need to make some minor adjustments to the PID values after its under load. To test if your PID needs some adjustment, run the motor(s) back and forth to a position. If the m...

Re: PWM Feature request
The S4 and S5 pins are not on pins the main processor support PWM on so this is not possible. Software Bit banged PWM would also be very jittery. We are also nearly maxed on the firmware.

Re: Packet Serial Address
You want to use the ReadConfig function. Part of the bitmap of the returned value indicates what the Packet Serial address is. The valid range for EEPROM is 0 to 65536(16bits) values and up to 256 values total. Reading the Config is probably simpler though. P.S. we will never write something to USER...

Re: Open Source Motion Studio
1. There is proprietary code in Motion Studio that isnt in the C# library(autotuning). 2. We are a small company and the amount of labor involved with making a QT app would be beyond our capability at this time. 3. There is nothing stopping someone from making a QT app with all the functionality of ...

Re: Speed accel deccel position function not working
1. You must have encoders on your motors. 2. They must be working properly with the Roboclaw(test using Motion Studio). 3. You must set the min and max position software limits(they default to 0 so the motors will not move. 4. You need to autotune or set the PID settings appropriately. 5. You must b...

Re: Additional response bytes received
As I said in my last post, I will need to see your code to determine the problem. If you can, post a simplified version that just has enough code to show the problem. Anything that requires special hardware will prevent me from being able to run the code so try to remove anything like that from your...

Re: Packet Serial with Raspberry Pi and Mixing
Those commands are mainly for people coming from a sabertooth controller. To use them you must first use both a forward/backward command AND a turn left/right command. The values can be 0 for either but you must send both initially. The motor will start moving after the second command is sent. Then ...

Re: Can I limit output voltage for different motors at roboclaw controller
Like most motor controllers/driver the output from the Roboclaw is a PWM of the battery input. So no, you can't limit the output voltage. You can only limit the output power.

Re: Manual homing
"Manual" homing just means you give it a command to move the motor backwards into the home sensor. You can use any command(Duty, velocity or position) depending on your setup.
