Re: Driver Error

I already replied to your CRM but I want to post this for others. A driver error is almost always permenet(eg a damaged part on the board). We will repair the board at no charge. You just have to send it in to us. There is one exception to driver failures being permenent. If the Logic power is hooke...

Re: RoboClaw 2x5A Control Inputs S4 S5

With the current firmware they are disabled. Once we have released the new manual with that information we will also release the firmware update that will enable those pins. Once they are enabled the S3 pin will optionally be able to control an external break or voltage clamp circuit(we will documen...

First thing oyu hsould do it sheck if your encoders are working correctly. Hook the unit up to a PC via the USB port(and power) and connect the en...

Re: Roboclaw 2x5A Position Control using quadrature+index

On the new model Roboclaws we've added S4 and S5 signal pins. Im currently working on a firmware update that addes homing support using these pins. The home function will move the motor in reverse at 1/10th power until the index/home switch is detected. If the signal is already triggered the motor w...

Re: mbed controller with roboclaw

We dont have anything specific to the mbed platforms. You will need to read through the roboclaw manual and probably look at the other examples we have for different languages.

Re: Getting roboclaw out of bootstrap mode

Once the board is put into bootloader mode by a software command(command 255 to be exact) you must update the firmware to clear the eeprom flag.
