2x7A not saving max amps and min logic volts

Post by Bryan_mcm »

Hi,
In the software we use for updating the roboclaw, I update the max amps to 3 but, and then write settings, but when I plug back in the max amps is still set at 1 amps.

This also seems to be the case for the min logic volts, I set it to 4.5, but seems to revert back to 5.5.

What can I do to fix this issue?

Thanks,
Bryan

1. Make sure you are using the latest Basicmicro Motion Studio software.
2. Make sure you are using Write Settings under the device menu and not the Save Settings under the file menu.

Hello,
I do have the latest version of the software (1.0.63) and I am writing not saving settings. As I mentioned all but two settings are getting set on 5 different controllers. This as of right now is a major blocker. I am thinking maybe its a defect in reading, but not writing. Is there another way that I can retrieve the settings from the device?

Thanks,
Bryan

It is partially my mistake. I didnt read your original message full.

Minimum Logic Voltage is 5.5v. You can not set it lower. It will always be set back to 5.5v if the user sets a voltage out of the range allowed.

Open Device menu and click Restore Defaults. What is the maximum current limit for M1 and M2 after doing that?

At the top right of the screen what is the Model number showing up as?
