RoboClaws x30A and pixhawk4

Post by jlsayed » Tue Jul 02, 2019 4:50 am

Trying to build a rover using roboclawx30A and Pixhawk4 hooked to 2x24v brushed motors and powered by 24V lead acid battery I will be using RC mode and autonomous mode to control the rover, my background is IT and I have very basic knowledge in electronic and controllers, after reading the data sheet of the RoboClaw and pixhawk4 (very briefly data here) I assume that and please correct me if I am wrong the mode of Roboclaw should be Serial packet mode (S1,S2 connected to pixhawk4), pleas if any one can give me a hint about the Estop where I can hook it....any help will be appreciated and I will keep posting the update of my project ...Thank you

I looked at the very short datasheet for the Pixhawk 4. It has serial ports so I assume you can program it to work with Roboclaws packet serial but I doubt it is supported by default(eg you would have to write code to handle it).

Alternatively you can use the Roboclaw RC input mode instead.
