The power is shutdown when turn motor changes

Post by Lumono »

When I turn motor suddenly fast or turn left/right, or motor drive heavy that occurs the current changes in shortly, the power is shutdown.
How I can set up Roboclaw to let it smoothly to prevent power shutdown.
I am using Roboclaw for Ardupilot rover.

Set the default accel/decel settings lower. The default setting is 2000%(2000% * 32768 = 655360. Set it much lower if you power source cant supply enough power. I recommend 32768 to start. This will be a 1 second accel/decel rate. Increase the value incrementally until you start having power issues again.

Your battery cant sustain the load of the motors. So you either need to set a lower accel/decel rate or you need to get a better battery.
