digital potentiometer

Post by apollo63740 »

Is there any reason a digital potentiometer set with a 2 volt range wouldn't work in place of an analog one when in analog mode? I was wanting to use something like a MCP4151. I had searched throughout the forums and outside to find where it had been done before without any results. I could change to use a different method but with this being a replacement for a different motor controller, I would have to redo a lot of other parts of the machinery using it in if I did. the digital pot would be able to be set at midrange before power was applied to the roboclaw 2x30a controller.

No reason I can think of. It should work like any other pot.
