So. Finally tuning everything up this year and I need some advice.

This mower is quite large, it really does an awesome job cutting and it's fast. Over voltage is a common issue. How to safely send that power back to the lithium batteries

Batteries are made by EGO power plus
Batteries are isolated from each other and the controller using Schottky diodes because I'm cheap.

Can I use the v clamp to bypass around the Schottky diodes and charge the batteries? If the v clamp only turns on during overvoltage, then in theory I could run those output wires from the v clamp to the batteries. I would need one v clamp per battery I assume otherwise they would be able to cross charge that way as the schottkys are positive blocked.

Any advice would be great.

Otherwise the blade motors help but if they are not running it locks up and needs a hard reset quite often.

These batteries are like 250$ each, one is 500$ so damage to them is not an option if this method could possibly damage them.

The biggest problem I am having is that I am running at 58.6v at full charge. Doesn't leave much buffer room since the mcp 266 is 60v.

Thanks
