In General Settings--> Coomand Settings, it is possible to select with the MCP236 the Mode Position, Mode Instant Speed, Mode Average speed and Mode Percent.
What is it?
I would like to control the motor in current mode with a external analog signal (ACS712).

That lats you set what is used to calculate the command value. Position is the most common, but under special cases you may want the inst/average speed to drive the motor(like when using a job dial) or you way want the percentage of the throw of the input to control the command output.
