Firmware Update, no mode button?

Post by ldempsey » Fri Feb 19, 2021 7:02 pm

I have some Roboclaw 2x160A Dual Channel Brushed motor controllers.

I'm trying to access them using BasicMicro Motion Studio, but it's telling me first I have to update from FW 4.1.23 to 4.1.34.

It is telling me to cycle power while holding the mode button - I can't see any mode button. Do I have to open upt the case?

If it's not possible to update the firmware, is there a way I can program it without having the latest firmware?

Just click Update firmware. There is no mode button on some models of Roboclaw. The mode button to force bootloader mode is not required. Motion Studio will send a command to tell the unit to go into bootloader mode.
