What pins are the S1 through S5 pins?

Post by JorgeP »

The MCP User Manual wiring refers to S1 through S5, however I don't see these being listed in the diagrams on pages 4, 5, and 6 of the datasheet. Which pins are they referring to?

Thank you.

That was a copy/paste mistake in the MCP manual images. MCP pins have programmable functions. See the funcitons table in the MCP manual. It lists which pins support serial, which support pulse inputs and which support analog.

S1 through S5 are pin numbers on Roboclaw models which are less flexible. S1 and S2 are Serial/RC Pulse or Analog inputs. S3 thru S5 can be connected to limit switches, e-stops or drive voltage clamp circuits/brakes.
