ESP On at Startup : Motors unresponsive

Post by benignfun »

I have 10 motors hooked up to 5 2x15A roboclaws. Recently took the firmware update and trying to redo settings and tuning but have two strange issues.

1. ESP is ON for all controllers, can't turn it off or send any commands to motors
2. Board 3 detects 2V more from the main battery than any other controller and runs 7 degrees hotter at start

See images. Now notive LBH error on Motor 3 as well.

S3 defaults to an E-Stop input when in Packet serial mode unless you change it specifically to a different mode. It has a weak pull-up which can under some conditions be triggered from external noise or if the voltage dips too low. If that is happening E-Stop you can put a jumper on the S3 pin to 5v. This will prevent any E-Stop from false triggering.
