HV2x60a controller trips..

Post by Morris »

i have an HV 2x60a controller, updated the f.w. from 4.1.16 to 4.1.19, and hooked up 2 motors.

when in RC mode, and mixed, it work's fine... but at an low rpm, and steer signal left or right, the motors wil run by themselves and even without a command the motors will keep running,in the position of my last steercommand. so i have to disconnect the power.
after i disconnect the main power, and the logic power, i can reconnect and al wil work fine... untill i give a steercommand at low rpm..and will enter the above state...

thx in advance,

Tom

1. Contact support@ionmc.com and we'll send you a link to the next release of Ion Motion to user our latest firmware. We will then debug the symptom using that version. It will be release in the next week or so and I'd rather not debug the older version this close to release.

2. Please also provide your wiring layout and how everything is powered as well as what model RC radio you are using in the email.

Thanks.

Hi acidtech,

this is the layout of my connections. (img)

my radio is a F12E from Walkera,with RX701 receiver, it's RC pulses .. low 1000, high 2000..
the logic battery is 10volts
lowerd the pwm from the board; Roboclaw HV 2x60a (V5.3) frequency to 24k
motors 24volts, stallcurrent 49Amp's

i must admit that i haven't driven the bot..just run on idle.. wheels of the ground..safty issue..

regards,

Tom

Hi Acidtech,

Nathan send me a link to the new firmware, i installed it..and guess.. it works pretty fine..running smooth and no erratic behavior at low rpm's.. :D :D

i use all the standard settings the new firmware provided, and it seem's that it is the right thing...only the deceleration settings must be tweeked..

thanks for your needed help!!

have a good weekend!!

Good. Its one of the primary reasons for the update. We've adjusted the sample points during each PWM pulse so motor noise is less of an issue on analog readings.
